An Introduction to the EveHQ UI
The EveHQ UI has undergone a number of revisions since the first public versions and with version 2, a completely new UI has been introduced. Based upon the ribbon interface first used in Microsoft Office 2007, EveHQ uses a third party collection of controls from DevComponents LLC called DotNetBar, or more specifically, DotNetBar for Windows Forms. This provides a common look and feel to the UI whilst also utilising a number of advanced controls. DotNetBar also provides a theming option for applications using it.
Elements of the EveHQ UI
The main EveHQ UI is separated into 13 areas as outlined in the image (click to enlarge). These elements are always visible irrespective of which feature of EveHQ is being used. Application specific features and plug-ins are contained within the main application area (7).
The numbered areas are as follows:
- Application Orb
- Ribbon Tabs
- Ribbon Bar (Current)
- Feature Tabs
- Main Application Area
- Training Bar
- Eve Tranquility Status
- Character API Status
- Mail API Timer
- Character API Timer
- Eve Tranquility Time
